Primacy effect is an evidence of long-term memory storage, It is a phenomenon that occurs when individuals tend to remember/recall the earlier items on a list instead of the most recent items, this is because the earlier/first items on the list are rehearsed more than the most recent and as such are stored in the long-term memory. Why on the contrary, there may not be sufficient time to rehearse the recent items on the list, hence they are stored in the short-term memory.
