Answer:

Answer C is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) clearly has a maximum:  y = +10 at x = 0.

Analyzing g(x) = -(x + 1)^2 - 10, we see that the vertex is at (-1, -10), and that the graph opens down.  Thus, -10 is the maximum value; it occurs at x = -1.

Answer A is false.  Both functions have max values.

Answer B is false.  One max is y = 10 and the other is y = -10.

Answer C is correct.  The max value of f(x), which is 10, is greater than the max value of g(x), which is -10.

Answer D is false.  See Answer B, above.

How do you do 3x (3X+6) please list how to do in order please. thanks!
Nadusha1986 [10]
Do what?  If you mean to find when it equals zero...

By inspection you can see that if x=0 or 2 the expression is equal to zero...

You multiply each term in the parentheses by the term outside the parentheses...like:

3x*3x+3x*6 which is equal to:

9x^2+18x   If you meant to expand it....

9x(x+2)      If you meant to factor it completely

mr yosgi has 75 papers he graded 60 of them and let a student grade the rest what percent if the papers did each person grade?
Alika [10]

He graded 60/75 papers.

If you divide these numbers instead of trying to simplify it equals the decimal 0.8.

If you move the decimal point two places to the right it's 80%.

Rationalise the denominator of the following
Georgia [21]

Answer:

2 + √3

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiply the expression by \dfrac{\sqrt{3} +1}{\sqrt{3} +1} :

\implies \dfrac{\sqrt{3} +1}{\sqrt{3} -1}\times\dfrac{\sqrt{3} +1}{\sqrt{3} +1}=\dfrac{(\sqrt{3} +1)^2}{3+\sqrt{3}-\sqrt{3}-1}=\dfrac{(\sqrt{3} +1)^2}{2}

\implies \dfrac{(\sqrt{3} +1)^2}{2}=\dfrac{3+2\sqrt{3}+1 }{2}=\dfrac{4+2\sqrt{3} }{2}=2+\sqrt{3}
