Answer:

C.Personality style

Explanation:

Question: Cindy has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Her quality of life is now poor because her coping style is one of helplessness, and she also has problems expressing her feelings. This is related to:____________

A. biochemical activity.

B. behavioral changes.

C. personality style.

D. social support.

Personality style can be defined as a unique and organized set of personal traits and patterns of behavior. A person's personality includes attitudes, modes of thought, feelings, impulses, strivings, actions, responses to opportunity and stress etc. when all these elements of personality are then expressed in a characteristically repeated and unique combination. It becomes A Personality Style.

Cindy not expressing herself and being helpless as a method of coping is a Personality Style.

Answer: It is related to her personality style

Explanation:

Personality style refers to an individual's constant inclinations and preferences to circumstances. Personality can be seen as an organized set of peculiar patterns or traits of a person's behaviour.

Someone's personality involves his/her impulses, actions, attitudes, feelings, thought pattern, responses etc. Personality style therefore comes into play when all these attributes or elements of a person's personality are conveyed and displayed in a repeated and dynamic combination. Personality style involves the orderly organization of a person's behaviour, thoughts, coping style and feelings. It generally refers to the peculiar and distinct manner an individual behaves, thinks or feels.

Now, back to Cindy who was recently diagnosed with cancer; Before Cindy was diagnosed with cancer, her coping style was probably not one of helplessness and she never had serious challenges expressing her feelings so it is quite obvious that the recent change in her quality of life, difficulty in expression of her feelings and difference in coping style has more to do with her personality style than it has to do with her health or medical condition.

We can therefore conclude that Cindy naturally hadthat personality style all along and only required something to activate her real personality and she now has a good cause to express it by displaying states of helplessness, having difficulties in expression of her feelings and so on.

ANEK [815]

Answer:

Hi there!

I'm sorry you have to go through that! When I was 16 I was dealing with the same problem as you. My relationship with my parents were always rocky. However, I understand the eagerness of leaving your home but its tough. I know from experience and hearing people I know experiences with moving out of their parents place at a young age. However it may be tough now but don't let it get to you. Parent's are always going to be on our case or give us a hard time. Its the same with us. We most likely give them a hard time too. The only advice I can give you is focus on you. What matters right now is your mental health and school. You're only 16!! You're a kid! If you are motivated to leave your home at some point, hustle hustle hustle! Work hard in school! If you can, get a part time job and save up and gain some independence. Never result to the idea of running away or doing things you aren't supposed to. Be wise, be strong, and continue to be your own advocate. I hope things get better with your parents! Stay strong and Stay safe! <3
