1. What is transferred from place to place by waves?
dem82 [27]

Answer:

Energy

Explanation:

A wave is a disturbance that transfers energy from one place to another without transferring matter. Waves transfer energy away from the source, or starting place, of the energy.

A missle is flying at a speed 125 m/s. if the missle has a mass of 125 kg. What’s it’s kinetic energy
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

976562.5\ Joules

Explanation:

We\ are\ given:\\The\ mass\ of\ the\ missile=125\ kg\\The\ velocity\ of\ the\ missile=125\ m/s\\Hence,\\As\ we\ know\ that,\\Kinetic\ energy\ possessed\ by\ an\ object\ with\ mass\ m\ moving\\ with\ a\ velocity\ v:\\E_k=\frac{1}{2}mv^2\\Here,\\The\ Kinetic\ Energy\ possessed\ by\ the\ missile=\frac{1}{2}*125*(125)^2=976562.5\ Joules

Are sinkhole fatalities common?
Brut [27]

Answer:

Sinkhole fatalities are rare, but they do occur sometimes. Also fatalities are more likely where sinkholes are common. For example, sinkholes are more  common in Florida than in California, so you would more likely die from a sinkhole in Florida than you would in California.

Hope this helps!

the maximum normal force a pilot can withstand is about eight times his weight. What is the maximum radius of curvature that a j
neonofarm [45]

Complete Question

the maximum force a pilot can stand is about seven times his weight. what is the minimum radius of curvature that a jet plane's pilot, pulling out of a vertical dive, can tolerate at a speed of 250m/s?

Answer:

The value is    r = \frac{250^2 }{6 * 9.8 }

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

 The  weight of the pilot is   W = mg

 The maximum force a pilot can withstand is  F_{max} =  7 W =  7 (mg)

 The speed is  v  =  250 \ m/s

Generally the centripetal force acting on the pilot is equal to the net force acting on the pilot i.e

      F_c =  F_{max} - mg

Here N  is the normal force acting on the pilot

Now

      F_c =  \frac{m v^2 }{r}

So

      \frac{m v^2 }{r} =  7(mg)  - mg

=>  r = \frac{v^2 }{6g}

=>  r = \frac{250^2 }{6 * 9.8 }

=>  r =  1063 \  m
