Your photo goes outside of the lines, and some of it is cut off.
In particular, probably the most important detail in the whole
problem is not readable ... the mass of the whole bag.

In order to capture the unbelievable bounty of 5 whole points,
I'm going to take a wild guess on the mass of the whole bag,
and then show you the solution of the question that I invented.
If my guess is wrong, then my solution will be wrong, but you'll
still see HOW to solve the problem.

I'm going to guess that the mass of the whole bag is 2.64 kilograms.

Each kilogram is 1,000 grams, so the bag holds 2,640 grams of coins.

The mass of each coin is 4.4 grams, so the number of quarters
in the bag must be
                                 (2,640) / (4.4) .

That number is      (2,640/4.4) = 600 quarters.

The value of each quarter is 25¢ .
So the value of 600 of them is

                 (600) x (25¢) =  15,000¢

                 and that's the same as    $150.00 .

(04.02 MC)
Solve the system of equations.
5x + y = 9
3x + 2y = 4
goblinko [34]

Answer:

(2,-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiply first equation by 2:

10x + 2y = 18

Subtract the second equation from this so that the 2y terms cancel:

10x - 3x = 18 - 4

7x = 14

x = 2

Plug into first equation to find y:

5(2) + y = 9

10 + y = 9

y = -1

The answer is (2,-1)
