Just imagine how you would feel if you were forced to do the same job as your parents (imagine that you have different interests than them): you would feel that your freedom is being taken away and that you're not achieving your full potential and happiness: I believe that is what people would think today and they would reject this ruling

Why was their political and economic tension between the British and the French? (Explain 2 reasons)
snow_lady [41]

Answer:

Both France and England struggled to claim hegemony in Europe and exert their influence in terms of economic power and political control around the world via their control of the colonies.

Explanation:

France and England have a history of different tensions throughout much of history. They were involved in the First Hundreds' Year War 1337 to 1453 for example and the Second Hundred Years' War 1689 to 1815. In the 17th century, this tension also spread to the New World where the French and the British had colonies. Both nations were interested in the Ohio Valley region and in 1753 a British expedition that was led by George Washington clashed with the French soldiers that were there. This is called the French and Indian War where different alliances were made with Native American peoples on both sides and they struggled for influence. In 1759 the British won against the French in various parts of the world including in Europe, Canada, and India, for example. The French lost a lot of their influence around the world and were weakened by these war efforts, whereas the British gained control and showed it had the wealth to wage wars and control more territories economically. Both countries had the goal to claim hegemony and exert their influence in terms of economic power and political control around the world.

Which of the following are examples of civil liberties ? (choose more than one answer)
creativ13 [48]

First, Civil liberties or personal freedoms are personal guarantees and freedoms that the government cannot abridge, either by law or by judicial interpretation, without due process.

Following that definition we have this:

a- shooting a person in anger : Hurting someone just because of anger and not for self-defense or a safety aspect is not a personal guarantee.

b-protesting on a busy street: We have the freedom of expression, and protest is a form of express an nonconformity.

c-speeding in traffic: When you speed in traffic you might be violating a transit rule or the speed limit.

d-not incriminating yourself in court : In many legal systems, accused criminals cannot be compelled to incriminate themselves.

e-serving in the army: If you do so by will, it will count as a freedom to chose but in case of war, maybe it will be more like an obligation.

In conclusion i would choose B and D.

Explain the extent to which the Tripitaka is a reliable sources of evidence about the teaching of Siddh?rtha Gautama
Effectus [21]

The Pali Canon, also known as "Tripitaka", is a collection of scriptures in the Buddhist tradition. This canon is divided into 3 categories:

 1. Vinaya Pitaka: Teaches dealing with the rules (discipline).
 2. Sutta Pitaka: The sermons of Buddha.
 3. Abhidhamma Pitaka: It is the treatises that form the Buddhist doctrine. Also known as "systematic philosophy".

The authorship of these scriptures is attributed to Buddha himself and some of his closest followers.

This is why there can be a high degree of confidence that the Tripitaka is a reliable source, as it represents a source from "first hand" in the teaching of "The Middle Way" or Siddhartha.
