What is the function of the flower stalk
BigorU [14]
The main function of the flower stock is transporting food in the form of water and nutrients to different parts of the plant with the help of xylem and phloem. Xylem helps in transporting cells that help in carrying water and minerals from the roots while phloem transports food in the form of sugar to all parts of the plant. The stock also helps in keeping the the flower steady above the plant folliage. This directly helps in the process of pollination of the plant. The flower that is held steady above the folliage attracts bees and other insects through which it continues the process of pollination.

Why are plastics hazardous to wildlife?
topjm [15]
In marine environment, many animals confuse the plastic littering the oceans for food including sea turtles. Once in these animal bodies the plastic accumulates, and the chemicals can cause excess estrogen to be produced, which has led to discoveries of male fish with female sex organs. For sea turtles, the plastic blocks their digestive tract and the food that is trapped releases gases that render them buoyant, and unable to dive for food. The turtle was slowly starving because a single use plastic bag, which she had eaten, was blocking her digestive tract.

The plastic contains destructible and harmful agents that is not good for human and animals health.

Describe how you would use the yeast-two-hybrid technique to find the proteins that interact with a liver-specific receptor prot
ollegr [7]

Answer:

Yeast-two-hybrid technique is one of the most important molecular technique that can be used to study the interactions at the molecular level. The interactions between the protein and DNA-protein  interaction can be studied by this technique.

If the individual wants to study the liver liver-specific receptor protein then yeast-two-hybrid technique can be applied. The interested protein that can acts as prey and bait proteins must be covalently linked with the other third protein known as the reporter protein.  Then the activity of the reporter protein is studied with the interactions of the prey and bait protein.
