Hey there!!

Things to remember while writing a standard form:

 • The equation shall always start with 'x'
 • The term 'x' shall not be negative or a fraction.

First, let's get this into slope-intercept form:

... y = mx + b

... 5 = (4/3)(-2) + b

... 5 = (-8/3) + b

... 5 + (8/3) = b

... b = 23/3

Slope-intercept=

... y = (4x/3) + (23/3)

Subtracting 4x/3 on both sides:

... (-4x/3) + y = 23/3

Multiplying by 3 on both sides:

... -4x + 3y = 23

Final equation :

4x - 3y = -23

Hope my answer helps!

What is y=4/5x+2 written in standard form
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

4x-5y=-10

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The equation of the line in standard form is in the form

Ax + By = C

where

A is a positive integer, and B, and C are integers

In this problem we have

y=\frac{4}{5}x+2 ----> equation of the line in slope intercept form

Convert to standard form

Multiply by 5 both sides

5y=4x+10

4x-5y=-10

Art [367]

Answer:

y = 5x+7

Step-by-step explanation:

Parallel lines have the same slope so y = 5x+9 is in slope intercept form

y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

The slope is 5

The new line will have a slope of 5

y = 5x+b

We know a point on the line (-2,-3)

Substitute this point into the equation

-3 = 5(-2)+b

-3 = -10+b

-3+10 = b

7 = b

y = 5x+7
