How is the work of scientists checked for accuracy?

Biology
1 answer:
mash [69]4 years ago

Answer: a. Scientists submit their work to scientific journals, and it is reviewed by their peers.

Explanation:

A peer review is the practice in which the research document is submitted to the experts or people who have the knowledge of the subject in which the research has been conducted.

The experts check the validity of the research and they evaluate the research work with their all set parameters. These experts find mistakes in the research document and present them to the researchers so that these mistakes can be corrected. This procedure increases the accuracy of the research document.

On the basis of the above explanation, this can be said that scientists must submit their work to the scientific journals, the peers associated with the journal will review the research work and finally will suggest whether the document is suitable for publication or not on the basis of the accuracy.

Define Nucleosynthesis and describe what it was like in the first few minutes after the Big Bang
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

Actually, in physical cosmology, Big Bang nucleosynthesis (or primordial nucleosynthesis) refers to the production of nuclei other than H-1, the normal, light hydrogen, during the early phases of the universe, shortly after the Big Bang. About first millisecond, the universe had cooled to a few trillion kelvins (1012 K) and quarks finally had the opportunity to bind together into free protons and neutrons. Free neutrons are unstable with a half-life of about ten minutes (614.8 s) and formed in much smaller numbers. The abundance ratio was about seven protons for every neutron. Before one neutron half-life passed nearly every neutron had paired up with a proton, and nearly every one of these pairs had paired up to form helium. By this time the universe had cooled to a few billion kelvins (109 K) and the rate of nucleosynthesis had slowed down significantly.

Merle is a marking pattern in canine coats that appears as a marbling of color in a solid coat. the merle gene displays incomple
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

100% merle with long coats.

Explanation:

All the offspring produced from the cross would be merle with long coats.

From the illustration:

Merle gene is represented by the genotype cmcs.

fgf5 gene determines the coat phenotype. Let the gene be represented by the allele A. A determines long coat traits and it is dominant over its alternate form, b, which determines short coat trait.

Now, two merle (cmcs) dogs were mated. One is true-breeding for long coat (AA) while the other is true breeding for short coat (aa).

cmcsAA x cmcsaa

Progeny genotype = cmcsAa

cmcsAa = merle with long coat.

Since A is dominant over a, all the progeny from the cross will be merle with long coat.
