Actually, the answer is all of them.
1. Large farms use deforestation, agricultural depletion of soil nutrients, inappropiate irrigation among other destructive practices.
2. Usually, smaller, locally grown produce farms don't use this predatory practices to farm their lands, they don't have the resources to spoil their land and just move elsewhere, so they tend to be more carefull with their practices.
3. This is similar to number 2, local and organic farmers tend to produce in a more natural way.
4. The more the food has to travel to get to your table, the more CO2 the trucks will emit. If you buy locally produced food, you will help reduce pollution from trucks.
