Actually, the answer is all of them.

1. Large farms use deforestation, agricultural depletion of soil nutrients, inappropiate irrigation among other destructive practices.

2. Usually, smaller, locally grown produce farms don't use this predatory practices to farm their lands, they don't have the resources to spoil their land and just move elsewhere, so they tend to be more carefull with their practices.

3. This is similar to number 2, local and organic farmers tend to produce in a more natural way.

4. The more the food has to travel to get to your table, the more CO2 the trucks will emit. If you buy locally produced food, you will help reduce pollution from trucks.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

4. Buying locally grown foods decreases the need for tractor-trailers to transport food across the country.

Explanation:

Although all of these options are right in some sense, the main reason why buying locally grown foods decreases greenhouse emissions is because by buying local produce, we reduce the need for tractor-trailers and even airplanes and ships to transport the food we consume. This means that all these means of transportation are used less, and thus pollute the atmosphere less as well.
