In contrast to the structural fuctional theory , conflict theory state that there is a constant struggle for power and wealth as people engage in conflict for limited resources. According to this theory there are two classes those who are capitalist and working class.

The capitalist class or elite are those who possesses a great level of wealth and who holds great power over distribution of resources.

The working class are those with less power who only receive their income from working for those in power ,the capitalist. The capitalist take advantage of this group at all cost.
