How was life similar and/or different for American women before, during, and after the war? Did the war change the role of women

in American society?

Before: women rarely worked, were essentially housekeepers, took care of children from home etc.
during: women took a lot of the jobs that were left empty when the male workers were drafted
after: there were tensions when soldiers returned to find their jobs filled. many women wanted to keep their jobs, which helped accelerate the feminist ideas that fueled the women's suffrage movement.

Well that is kind of hard to answer as not every Greek City State voted only like Athens and the Roman Republic only men could vote and it was the period where the Senate was in place.
