When you think of a volcano, you probably think about how they can be very destructive. They are, after all, natural disasters.
However, volcanoes can have constructive consequences. One example of volcanoes as a constructive process would be a volcano eruption A) spewing hot lava. B) forming an island. C) starting an avalanche. D) covering the land with ash.
Volcano is an opening in the Earth's crust (surface layer of Earth) through which materials originating from the mantle are expelled to the surface. These materials, in general, appear in a liquid-paste and incandescent state are called magma. It is a material present in the layer immediately below the earth's crust - the mantle. However, from the crevice of the volcano, gaseous materials, dust and solid rock can also be emitted.
Volcanoes may appear at the bottom of the oceans. After successive eruptions and the consequent cooling and consolidation of the magma, this volcano can reach the surface and form an island or sets of islands. This is the case of the islands of Fernando de Noronha in Brazil and the archipelago of Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean. The islands formed by extrusion of magma are called volcanic islands.
The formation of islands is an example of the constructive consequences of volcanoes.
Not every member of a particular species (one kind of organism) must be able to reproduce in order for the species to survive. If you take homo sapiens for example (Humans) there are many males and females around the world who are sterile and unable to reproduce, yet you still see the human species flourishing.
Since both parents (green and yellow) are homozygous and green is dominant, when they are crossed all the resultant offsprings will have both genes of green and yellow in their genotype but will appear as green( phenotype) because the green colour is dominant and has masked the yellow colour which is recessive.
A mutation in DNA affects the entire protiens synthesis process by producing the incorrect amino acids in the wrong places, causing issues with the ability of the organism to survive depending on what the protein is in charge of.
