Answer:

See explanation below for answer regarding the distribution of the costs

Explanation:

Given the information we can't actually list a cost amount as no cost figures were included. Thus we are limited to what we know in the scenario.

Material costs are added at the beginning of the process. Which means that all units in the process whether in process or completed will be costed at the full price of the materials as they are all added into the process already. Thus these costs can be recognized and capitalized to the units in process or completed irrespective of the process.

Conversion costs are normally capitalized as the process is being completed. Thus 50% of the conversion costs will be applied to the ending work in process.

Next one will need to the calculate the total equivalent units which are the completed units plus the 50% of units in ending work in process.

Next we apply costs to the equivalent units using the weight average cost of conversion costs and materials.

allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

Neither the costs are identical.

Explanation:

In the given scenario both of the airlines offer similar services to customers and the only difference is the way their aircraft was obtained. While the first company bought its own for $500,000 the second one is renting theirs for $30,000.

Their costs are however considered to be the same because if the first company goes out of business it's estimate of their plane is $30,000 per year. So even when they owned the plane cost of running it was the same as the second company.

If a perfectly competitive firm with constant returns to scale was reorganized as a monopoly, its monopoly price would be ____
ikadub [295]

Answer:

The correct answers are: greater than; less than.

Explanation:

In the perfect competition model, the nature of the scale returns poses serious problems, whatever the case considered. Sise assumes that the returns of scale are increasing, the supply of companies is infinite; if they are constant, the offer is null, infinite or indeterminate (equilibrium case); if they are decreasing, the profit of the companies is strictly positive in the balance '. In the latter case, if they could do so, companies would be interested in dividing themselves, without any limit, into entities as small as possible.

A firm with a net income of $30,000 and weighted average actual shares outstanding of 15,000 for the year also had the following
scZoUnD [109]

Answer:

A. $1.70

Explanation:

Available Information:

Actual average number of shares outstanding = 15,000 shares

Total common shares issued on conversion = 2,900 share

First Calculate Weighted average number of shares outstanding using following formula:

Weighted average number of shares outstanding = Actual average number of shares outstanding + Total common shares issued on conversion

Weighted average number of shares outstanding = 15,000 + 2,900

Weighted average number of shares outstanding = 17,900 shares

Now Put all the value in the following formula of Diluted EPS:

Diluted EPS = Net Income - Preferred dividend / Weighted average number of shares outstanding

Diluted EPS = ( $30,000 - $4,500 ) / 15000 shares

Diluted EPS = $25,500 / 15000 shares

Diluted EPS = $1.70 / Share
