skad [1K]

Redlining is the discriminatory practice of denying services (typically financial) to residents of certain areas based on their race or ethnicity.

What is Redlining?

In the United States, redlining is a discriminatory practice in which services are withheld from potential customers who live in neighborhoods deemed "hazardous" to investment; these neighborhoods have a high concentration of racial and ethnic minorities, as well as low-income residents.

Redlining is a form of discrimination that involves the systematic denial of services such as mortgages, insurance loans, and other financial services to residents of specific areas based on their race or ethnicity.

The term "redlining" comes from actual red lines on maps that designated predominantly Black neighborhoods as "hazardous." Beginning in the 1930s, the government-sponsored Home Owners' Loan Corporation and the Federal Home Loan Bank Board used these maps to deny Black Americans lending and investment services.

What does the map indicate about the effect of nationalism in Austria-Hungary?
erica [24]
I would say the correct answer is D. Austria-Hungary would no longer exist if every ethnic group got its own independent territory.
As you can see, Austria-Hungary consisted of many ethnic groups at the time, including Germans, Poles, Slovenes, etc. What this meant for the nationalism is that each of these ethnic groups wanted their independence and to separate from Austria-Hungary. And if they did that, there would no longer be Austria-Hungary, but rather a bunch of new countries in Europe.
