Tony's fish tank is a right rectangular prism 50 \,\text{cm}50cm50, space, c, m long by 25\, \text{cm}25cm25, space, c, m wide.

When a castle is submerged in the tank, the water in the tank is 57.5 \text{ cm}57.5 cm57, point, 5, space, c, m high. When Tony removes the castle, the water level drops to a height of 48 \text{ cm}48 cm48, space, c, m. What is the volume of the castle?

The volume of the prism is calculated by multiplying the length, L, width,W, and depth or height, H.
                                 V = L x W x H
Fish tank:
                                V = 50 cm x 25 cm x 25 cm
                                     = 31250 cm³
Depth of the water in tank (with castle - without castle)
                                   d = 57.5 cm - 48 cm = 9.5 cm
Volume of the caste:
                                V = 9.5 cm x 50 cm x 25 cm = 11875 cm³

Danny babysat for 7 hours yesterday. For how many seconds did Danny babysit for yesterday? Show me how you got the answer
Snezhnost [94]
Well, there are 60 minute in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute so we can multiply 7 by 60 and then 60 again to find out answer.
7 times 60=420 times 60=25200
she babysat for 25200 seconds

Find the equation of the tangent to the curve at x=3 for parametric equations
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

y = 6x − 11

Step-by-step explanation:

x = t + (1/t), y = t² + (1/t²)

If we square x:

x² = t² + 2 + (1/t²)

x² = y + 2

When x = 3, y = 7.

Taking derivative with respect to time:

2x = dy/dx

dy/dx = 6

So the equation of the tangent line is:

y − 7 = 6 (x − 3)

y − 7 = 6x − 18

y = 6x − 11
