Answer:

AMERICAN SETTLERS MOVE TO TEXAS

To increase the non-Indian population in Texas and provide a buffer zone between its hostile tribes and the rest of Mexico, Spain began to recruit empresarios. An empresario was someone who brought settlers to the region in exchange for generous grants of land.

In Texas, American settlers decided to promote their own independence from Mexico. Suddenly, it seemed, that Southwest was a ripe new frontier for American exploitation and settlement. By 1840 the total population in America had doubled since about 1800 and the pattern of population forced them to search new land.

Explanation:

Texas-Texas is a state in the South Central Region of the United States. It is the second largest U.S. state by area and population.

Which of the following became a challenge for humans adopting an agricultural lifestyle?
Talja [164]

Answer:

C. Lack of rain or disease could destroy a food supply.

Explanation:

When people first adopted agricultural lifestyle the main challenge they had was natural causes destroying the food supplies.

This is actually a problem that exists until today, as the climate or disease of the crops can severely affect the production. In the parts of the world with a huge industry, this can be prevented.

Yet, parts that don't incorporate much of the industry into agricultural processes, like it was in the ancient times, the floods, storms, blizzards, droughts, etc. affect food supplies a lot and propose a threat to the nourishment of the people.

Back in the days, people had no means of fighting the diseases that would attack plants or oppose the weather conditions, so once a disease or disaster attacks the agricultural resources they would stay without a large part of the supply for the upcoming period.

Anika [276]

The correct answer is: "remained Communist".

Cuba has been a socialist state governed by the unique Communist Party since the sucess of the revolution leaded by Fidel Castro in 1959, which managed to remove the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.

After the collapse of the USSR (1991), Cuba lost its most powerful ally, that had helped them to survive after the trade embargo and the international sanctions that the US had set on Cuba.
