Aside from absorbing water and nutrients in the ground, roots are also the very support of a tree. It supports bigger trees to stand and stay steady against heavy rains and strong winds. Roots are also capable of absorbing water that may cause flood in the area, and support slopes that may result to landslides. Roots are very important because it lessen the chances of soil erosion in a certain place. Roots can also be used for plant vegetations.

Other functions do the roots serve, aside from absorbing water and nutrients are to store food reserves, respiratory sites and as a place to attach/support plants in soil media

Further explanation

Organs in plants consist of roots, stems, and leaves. Besides, there are also flowers, fruit, and seeds

The root is a plant organ that is present in the soil, although some are above the ground such as orchids

Root functions, among others

 • 1. Places to store food reserves for example such as carrots
 • 2. Respiratory sites such as mangrove plants
 • 3. As a place to attach/support plants in soil media, because of the ability of roots to break through the soil
 • 4. Absorbing mineral salts of nutrients in the soil and also water through the hairs of the roots

The epidermis layer is one of the root constituent tissues of plants that have root hairs to expand the absorption of minerals/water

While the cortex functions for the gas exchange process and plays a role in storing food reserves

At the root tip itself, there is a root covering that protects the root when it grows in the soil thereby strengthening the sticking of the roots in the soil

How a plant cell and all its organelle functions to help a tree or plant survive, adapt and reproduce?
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

A plant cell is illustrated as a cell that comprises nucleus and organelles enveloped by a rigid and thick cell wall. The functions of the organelles are as follows:

1. Cell membrane: It safeguards the cell and monitors the molecules leaving and entering the cell.

2. Cytoplasm: It assists in holding the organelles of the cells in place.

3. Cell wall: It is the main safeguarding barrier of the plant cells.

4. Chloroplast: It transforms sunlight into energy by a procedure known as photosynthesis.

5. Cytoskeleton: It provides structural support for the cell.

6. Ribosome: It builds protein for the cell to utilize.

7. Nucleus: It stores the DNA and coordinates the activities of the cell, mainly it acts as brain.

8. Mitochondria: It convert oxygen and nutrients into energy.

9. Lysosomes: It dissociate waste into basic components for other organelles to function.

10. Endoplasmic reticulum: It transports and manufactures chemical components to and from the nucleus.

11. Peroxisomes: It digests toxic substances in the cell.

12. Golgi Apparatus: It transforms proteins and fats built in the cell and transports them outside the cell or prepares them for storage.

13. Plasmodesmata: It allows communication and transport of substances to the nearby cells.

14. Vacuole: It stores waste components and sustains the level of pH of the cell.

15. Vesicle: It conducts substances within the cell and help in storing enzyme s.

"Immediately prior to ventricular systole, pressure in the aorta is about" "The Frank-Starling law of the heart states that"
Serjik [45]

Answer:

80 mm Hg

Explanation:

Immediately prior to ventricular systole, pressure in the aorta is about 80 mm Hg. This can be explained by the Frank-Starling Law which states that the stroke volume of the left ventricle will increase as the left ventricular volume increases due to the myocyte stretch which tends to cause a more forceful systolic contraction. This applies in the case that all of the other factors remain the same during that time.
