I have no idea how to do this someone please help!!! It’s Stoichiometry. CaCO3 + 2HCl --> CaCl2 + CO2 + H2O If 20.8 grams of

calcium carbonate reacts with excess HCl, how many moles of calcium chloride are produced?

Take stoichiometry In to consideration. The ratio of CaCO3 to CaCl2 is 1:1

Therefore the amount of moles in CaCO3 is same as moles in CaCl2.

Calculate the moles of CaCO3 using the equation n =m/M where

n = moles

m = mass

M =molar mass

And find the moles which is 0.208 mol in this case.

Therefore the moles of CaCl2 is also 0.208mol

(lol... Um doing all ur chemistry sums..)

Aneli [31]
The vapor pressure of the two jars are the same.

The volume of water inside the container does not change the vapor pressure.

As long as the liquid remains being water and the temperature does not change the vapor pressure will be the same. The vapor pressure depends only in the nature of the substance and the temperature of the system.
If you want to know more about this, i.e. why, here you have additional explanation:

The vapor pressure is the pressure of the vapor of a substance in equilibrium with the substance in liquid (or solid state) and it is due to the fact that some molecules in the liquid (or solid), those that are close to the surface of liquid in contact with the gas phase and that have enough kinetic energy, evaporate.

At equilibrium the number of molecules passing from the liquid state to the gas state is equal to the number of molecules that pass from the gas state to the liquid state.  If the volume of liquid is increased or decreased, as long as the temperaature of the system remains constant the equilibrium is reached again with the same vapor pressure.

A 3.25 L solution is prepared by dissolving 285 g of BaBr2 in water. Determine the molarity.
Effectus [21]

Answer:

0.295 mol/L

Explanation:

Given data:

Volume of solution = 3.25 L

Mass of BaBr₂ = 285 g

Molarity of solution = ?

Solution:

Molarity is used to describe the concentration of solution. It tells how many moles are dissolve in per litter of solution.

Formula:

Molarity = number of moles of solute / L of solution

Number of moles of solute:

Number of moles = mass/ molar mass

Molar mass of BaBr₂ = 297.1 g/mol

Number of moles = 285 g/ 297.1 g/mol

Number of moles= 0.959 mol

Molarity:

M = 0.959 mol / 3.25 L

M = 0.295 mol/L
