The correct answer is B) his acceptance of Buddhism.

The war Asoka fought with the kingdom of Kalinga resulted in his acceptance of Buddhism.

The Kalinga war was fouth between Asoka (the Mauryan Emperor) and the Army of the state of Kalinga, India. Historians consider it was one of the bloodiest battles of that time. Asoka won the battle, but he was sad and disappointed for the many lives lost in the battle. That is why after the battle he became a follower of Buddhism and non-violence ideas. He followed the principles of Dharma and promised to himself that he won’t use violence in any form again.
