I never read the book BUT I do know the types of figurative language if that’ll help.

Similes: a comparison using like/as.

For example: she is as innocent as an angel.

Metaphor: a comparison of things that are not alike normally.

For example: the black sheep, if you have cold feet, etc.

Hyperbole: an extreme exaggeration

For example: I’m so hungry I could eat a horse!
