1 3/4
= 1+ 3/4
= 4/4+ 3/4
= (4+3)/4
= 7/4

Half of 1 3/4
= Half of 7/4
= (7/4) /2
= (7/4)* (1/2)
= (7*1)/ (4*2)
= 7/8

Half of 1 3/4 is 7/8.

So half=1/2
half of 1 and 3/4
remember that 1 adn 3/4=1+3/4
'of' means multiply
1/2 times (1+3/4)
distributive property
a(b+c)=ab+ac
1/2 times (1+3/4)=1/1 times 1+1/2 times 3/4=1/2 +3/8
1/2 times 4/4=4/8
1/2+3/8=4/8+3/8=7/8
answer is 7/8

Bruce's dumbbells weigh 11 pounds each. if bruce has 14 dumbbells, how many pounds do they weigh altogether?
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Bruce's dumbbells weigh 11 pounds each

Bruce has 14 dumbbells

we know that to calculate the total weigh of all the dumbbells we have to multiply weigh of each dumbbell with the total no of dumbbells

this is because by multiplying the no of dumbbells with weight of each one we get the altogether weight

so we will multiply weight of each dumbbell by total no. of dumbbells

by multiplying we get 14*11=156

therefore the altogether weight of dumbbells is 156 pounds.

Answer:

This method of sampling is unbiased.

Explanations:

A method of sampling is referred to as bias when there is an imbalance in the sampling probability among members of the total population.

In this example, we have a survey sampling that involves anonymous members, there's no way the sampling probability can be lowered for some members than others because members of the whole population are unknown.

This is a fair sampling method and it is unbiased.

The best answer to this problem is 0.0823. np = 48 * 1/4 = 12 The exactly 15 would be written as 14.5 to 15.5. You then plug those into you equation separately. e1= (14.5-12)/3 = 0.833 and e2 =(15.5 - 12)/3 = 1.167) p(0.833<e<1.167)= 0.0808
