Answer:

c. He believed that children actively intend to learn about and take intellectual charge of their worlds.

Explanation:

Piaget found out that children are able to think and reason in different ways at  various time periods.

As they grow, they undergo stages of development- According to his theories children actively learn from their environment and build up knowledge on previous experiences, to take higher intellectual tasks in the ambient.

The phases Piaget identifies:

Sensorimotor stage: birth to 2 years. Preoperational stage: ages 2 to 7. Concrete operational stage: ages 7 to 11.

Piaget founded the school of constructivism, along with Vigotsky is one of the most promiment scientists to have observed the behavior of children and focuses on learning.

The contributions are important because they reflect a innovative view at times where often misconceptions about children were still widespread.

Answer:

Affirmative action programs for under-represented minorities.

Explanation:

Affirmative action is defied as a  policy where the race, color,  sex, national origin or religion are considered to increase the opportunities provided to an underrepresented section of the society. It supports members of any disadvantage group or minorities who have discriminated in areas of housing, employment and education.

In the context, The University of California took the affirmative actions against the disadvantaged minorities to provide admission to them despite the Federal court decision in California v. Bakke (1978) to prohibit the use of the quota system to get admission in the university.
