The closest number to 5/6 would have to be 1

1) 0 wouldn't be the answer because the fraction would have to look like 0/6, 1/6, or 2/6

2) 1/2 wouldn't be the answer because half of 6 is 3 ---> 3/6

3) 1 would be the answer because 5/6 is close to 6/6, which is one whole.

1, because 0, is 0/6, 1/2 also equals 3/6, and 1 equals 6/6. Of all these numbers, 5/6 is closest to 6/6 which equals one.
If this is confusing for you, take out the denominators: think logically. Is 5 closer to 0, 3, or 6?
6.
Therefore, when you plug back in the denominators, the answer is 6/6 or 1.

aleksklad [387]

Answer:

2x-5= -20

move -5 to the other side

sign changes from -5 to 5

2x-5+5= -20+5

2x= -15

divide by 2 for both sides

2x/2= -15/2

cross out 2 and 2, divide by 2 and 2 and then becomes x

x= -15/2

(-4,5) and (4,0) find the distance between each pair of points
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

9.4339 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we are given with two coordinates and asked to determine the distance between them.

Here we are going to use the distance formula, which is given as under

D=\sqrt{(y_2-y_1)^2+(x_2-x_1)^2}

Where

(x_1,y_1) = (-4,5)

(x_2,y_2) = (4,0)

Replacing these values in the distance formula

D =\sqrt{(-4-4))^2+(5-0)^2}

D =\sqrt{(-8)^2+(5)^2}

D =\sqrt{64+25}

D =\sqrt{89}

D= 9.4339

Hence the distance is 9.4339 units

Answer:

m\angle N=57^{\circ}

Step-by-step explanation:

From the isosceles-base theorem, the measure of the angles adjacent to the pair of congruent sides of the triangle are equal. Since the problem declares LM\cong LN, the remaining unknown angles are equal (m\angle N=m\angle M). The sum of the interior angles of a triangle always add up to 180^{\circ}$.

Therefore:

m\angle N\cdot 2+66=180,\\m\angle N\cdot 2=114,\\m\angle N=\fbox{$57^{\circ}$} .
