First, add 3+3 which is 6/5. Next, you use KCF. 6/5 * 5/2. You now have to find a least common denominator. You can multiply 5*2 and 2*5 to both fractions. 6*2/5*2 simplifies to 12/10. Lets do the same to the other fraction except using 5 this time. We now get 5*5/2*5 = 25/10. We can now multiply across. 25*12/10*10. 300/100 which reduces to simply 3. You can double check this on a scientific calculator like I did and got the same answer.

3 consecutive odd integers such that the sum of twice the first and three times the second is 55 more than twice the third
den301095 [7]

Answer:

Consecutive odd integers are 19 , 21 & 23

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the first 3 consecutive odd intergers be x , (x + 2) and (x + 4).

According to the question,

2x + 3(x + 2) = 2(x + 4) + 55

= > 2x + 3x + 6 = 2x + 8 + 55

Eliminating 2x from both the sides,

= > 3x + 6 = 63

= > 3x = 63 - 6 = 57

= > x = \frac{57}{3} = 19

So, the consecutive odd integers are = 19 , 21 & 23.

Jack's last six scores are 75,78,83,80,79,84. If he scores a 90 on the next test, by how much will his mean test score increase?
kondaur [170]

Answer:

1.46

Step-by-step explanation:

First find the the mean score before he made a 90.

\frac{75+78+83+80+79+84}{6} = 79.83

Now add the score of 90 and calculate.

\frac{75+78+83+80+79+84+ 90}{7} = 81.29

Subtract the two scores.

81.29-79.83 = 1.46

His mean test score increased by 1.46.
