Answer: 7.30\times 10^{-7}

Explanation :

Significant figures : The figures in a number which express the value -the magnitude of a quantity to a specific degree of accuracy is known as significant digits.

Rules for significant figures:

Digits from 1 to 9 are always significant and have infinite number of significant figures.

All non-zero numbers are always significant. For example: 654, 6.54 and 65.4 all have three significant figures.

All zero’s between integers are always significant. For example: 5005, 5.005 and 50.05 all have four significant figures.

All zero’s preceding the first integers are never significant. For example: 0.0078 has two significant figures.

All zero’s after the decimal point are always significant. For example: 4.500  have four significant figures.

All zeroes used solely for spacing the decimal point are not significant. For example : 8000 has one significant figure.

1. 0.007 has one significant figure.

2. 7077 has four significant figures.

3. 7.30\times 10^{-7}  has three significant figures.

4. 0.070 has two significant figures.

"No matter what phase water is in, the water molecules stay the same; they just move differently." Explain why this evidence mat
Sedbober [7]

Explanation:

If water is ice-form, only the gap between molecules reduces but the molecule remains the same. The gap between liquid water molecules is greater than that between the molecules. That's why ice is thinner than water.

The intermolecular gap now increases in the gaseous form, which makes it less heavier than solid ice and liquid water. However, the molecule still remain the same.

Why are most anions basic in H2O? Give formulas of four anions that are not basic.
AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

The anions that can act as bases (conjugate bases of weak acids) have the capability to hydrolyse water and produce OH− ions. Cl−, Br−NO−3, SO2−4 are all conjugate bases of strong acids that don't have the capability to hydrolyse water and so they aren't basic.

When electrons move through a series of electron acceptor molecules in cellular respiration ________.
Verizon [17]

Answer:

oxygen is reduced to form water.

Explanation:

Cellular respiration

It is the set of reactions in which the ac. Pyruvic produced by glycolysis is split into CO2 and H2O and 36 ATP are produced. In eukaryotic cells breathing is performed in the mitochondria. It occurs in two stages:

- PIRUVATE OXIDATION

- AC CYCLE TRICARBOXYL

The "problem" with fermentation is that, by using organic molecules as terminal electron acceptors and having to dispose of the resulting product (lactic acid / ethanol) as waste, the potential energy of these compounds is lost.

The alternative solution is to use some non-organic molecule that can accept electrons and thus become a reduced molecule. Oxygen is perfect for this, because after receiving the electrons it combines with two protons, thus becoming the perfect liquid residue for the environment: H2O.

How many moles of hydrochloric acid are required to produce .40 moles of hydrogen gas?
mash [69]

Answer:

0.80 Moles of Hydrochloric Acid would be required to produce 0.40 Moles of hydrogen gas due to the equation ratios

Explanation:

How many moles of hydrochloric acid are required to produce .40 moles of hydrogen gas?

Hydrochloric acid = HCl

Hydrogen gas = H2

H = 1+

Cl = 1-

HCL = H2 + Cl2

2HCl = H2 + Cl2

2:1:1

0.80 = 0.40 + 0.40

How many joules of heat are absorbed to raise the temperature of 650 grams of water from 5.00c to it's boiling point, 100c
xenn [34]

Answer : The amount of heat absorbed are, 258485.5 J

Solution :

Formula used :

Q=m\times c\times \Delta T=m\times c\times (T_{final}-T_{initial})

where,

Q = heat gained  = ?

m = mass of water = 650 g

c = specific heat of water = 4.186J/g^oC

\Delta T=\text{Change in temperature}

T_{final} = final temperature = 100^oC

T_{initial} = initial temperature = 5^oC

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get the final temperature of copper.

Q=650g\times 4.186J/g^oC\times (100-5)^oC

Q=258485.5J

Therefore, the amount of heat absorbed are, 258485.5 J
