For part A, all you need to do is find an number between 7.7 and 7.9 but the number must terminate, or end.

For part B you must find a number that does not end and does not repeat, but round that number to the nearest hundredth.

Write the equations of 2 straight lines which are perpendicular to y = -3x +0.5.
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

y = (1/3)x + 7

y = (1/3)x - 15

These are two examples out of an unlimited number of possibilities.

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of this given line is -3.  Any new line perpendicular to this one is the negative reciprocal of -3:  1/3.

The slope-intercept form is y = mx + b.  Here m = 1/3, so the revised form is

y = (1/3)x + b.

Two straight lines perpendicular to the given line are easily found by selecting two different values for b:

y = (1/3)x + 7

y = (1/3)x - 15

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(2^{3})^{3} = 2^{3*3}=2^{9}\\\\\\(\dfrac{4^{2}}{5^{3}})^{3} = \dfrac{(4^{2})^{3}}{(5^{3})^{3}}=\dfrac{4^{6}}{5^{9}}\\\\\dfrac{3^{6}}{3^{3}}=3^{6-3}=3^{3}\\\\\\a^{m}*a^{n}=a^{m+n}\\\\(a^{m})^{n}=a^{m*n}\\\\\dfrac{a^{m}}{a^{n}}=a^{m-n}

(2-7m^6)^2<br><br><br> i dont know this
Pavel [41]
(2-7m^6)^2

rearrange terms:

(2-7m^6)^2

(-7m^6 + 2)^2

expand the squares:

(-7m^6 + 2)^2

(-7m^6 + 2)(-7m^6 + 2)

distribute:

(-7m^6 + 2)(-7m^6 + 2)

-7(-7m^6 + 2) • m^6 + 2(-7m^6 + 2)

distribute:

-7(-7m^6 + 2) • m^6 + 2(-7m^6 + 2)

49m^12 - 14m^6 + 2(-7^6 +2)

distribute:

49m^12 - 14m^6 + 2(-7^6 +2)

49m^12 - 14m^6 - 14m^6 + 4

combine like terms:

49m^12 - 14m^6 - 14m^6 + 4

49m^12 - 28m^6 + 4

solution:

49m^12 - 28m^6 + 4

A card is drawn from a standard deck of 52 cards. What is the probability of drawing a face card (jack, king, or queen) or a bla
Shkiper50 [21]
Probability of drawing a face card =
4 suits x 3 = 12
\frac{12}{52}  =  \frac{3}{13}
Probability of drawing a black card =
\frac{26}{52}  =  \frac{1}{2}
Hope this helps. - M
