Polonium 210, botulinum toxin, and the toxin from the poison frog are perhaps the most toxic and deadly poisons known to mankind. Polonium 210 is so radioactive that a gram of it can kill 10 million people and the few that will survive will undeniably have cancer. Botulinum toxin is the most lethal toxin. A few drops could kill billions of people. It causes botulism which weakens the muscles of the body and eventually leads to death. The poison frog is used to add poison to arrows of hunters in South America. Simply touching the small frog will surely cause death either by cardiac arrest or lung failure.

Answer:

Sometimes it is not an increase in force that is desired, but an increase in

distance or speed.  Take a baseball bat as an example.  A bat is a class 3

lever, meaning the effort is in the middle.  This means that it has a

mechanical advantage of less than one.  However, when the bat is swung,

the end of the bat is travelling at a much higher speed than the location at

which the batter is holding it.  This allows the ball to leave the bat at a

much higher speed than it would with a class one or two lever.

If the equilibrium constant for the reaction A 2B C 5/2 D has a value of 4.0, what is the value of the equilibrium constant for
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

K'=\frac{1}{16}

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, since the given reaction is:

A+ 2B \rightleftharpoons C+ \frac{5}{2} D

Whereas the equilibrium constant is:

K=\frac{[C][D]^{5/2}}{[A][B]^2} =4.0

However, the new target reaction reverses and doubles the initial reaction to obtain:

2C+5D \rightleftharpoons 2A+4B

Whereas the equilibrium constant is:

K'=\frac{[A]^2[B]^4}{[C]^2[D]^5}

Which suggest the following relationship between the equilibrium constants:

K'=\frac{1}{K^2}

So we plug in to obtain:

K'=\frac{1}{4.0^2}\\\\K'=\frac{1}{16}

Best regards!
