If you type the equation into y1 on your calculator and use the table graph you get coordinates that you can graph. ( 0,-9 ) ( 1,-6 ) ( 2, -3 ) ( 3 , 0 ) ( 4, 3 ) ( 5 , 6 ) ( 6 , 9 ), just graph those and that should answer your question :)

Actually it's
y = \frac{x+4}{3}

it's a line. so 2 points is enough

choose x so that x+4 would be divisible by 3 :)
1) x = 2, then y = (2+6) / 3 = 2 - sketch point (2,2)
2) x = 5, then y = (5+4) / 3 = 3 - sketch point (5,3)
3) line goes though those points. use ruler :)

What best describes the area of a polygon
never [62]

Answer:

The area of any regular polygon is given by the formula: Area = (a x p)/2, where a is the length of the apothem and p is the perimeter of the polygon. Plug the values of a and p in the formula and get the area. As an example, let's use a hexagon (6 sides) with a side (s) length of 10.

The area of a polygon is the two-dimensional set of all points surrounded by the sides of the polygon.

If you're looking for an equation, it varies based on the number of sides and the shape of the polygon.

Step-by-step explanation:

Apothem

A regular polygon is equilateral (it has equal sides) and equiangular (it has equal angles). To find the area of a regular polygon, you use an apothem — a segment that joins the polygon’s center to the midpoint of any side and that is perpendicular to that side (segment HM in the following figure is an apothem).

Look at the equation below. If x=2, what is the
LenKa [72]

Answer:

<u>The correct answer is B. 9</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's solve for y in the equation below, given that x = 2

y = 6x - 3

Substituting x in the equation, this way:

y = 6 * 2 - 3

y = 12 - 3

y = 9

The value of y is 9 when x is 2

<u>The correct answer is B. 9</u>

A simple random sample of size nequals40 is drawn from a population. The sample mean is found to be 103.9, and the sample stand
yan [13]

Answer:

There is enough evidence to support the claim that the population mean is greater than 100

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1</u>: We state the hypothesis and identify the claim

H_0:\mu=100 and H_1:\mu \:>\:100 (claim)

<u>Step 2</u>: Calculate the test value.

t=\frac{\bar X-\mu}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n} } }

\implies t=\frac{103.9-100}{\frac{21.9}{\sqrt{40} } }=1.1263

<u>Step 3</u>: Find the P-value. The p-value obtained from a calculator is using d.f=39 and test-value 1.126 is 0.134

<u>Step 4</u>: We fail to reject the null hypothesis since P-value  is greater that the alpha level. (0.134>0.05).

<u>Step 5</u>: There is enough evidence to support the claim that the population mean is greater than 100.

<u>Alternatively</u>: We could also calculate the critical value to obtain +1.685 for \alpha=0.05 and d.f=39 and compare to the test-value:

The critical value (1.685>1.126) falls in the non-rejection region. See attachment.

NB: The t- distribution must be used because the population standard deviation is not known.
