the area of a rectangle is 30 to the square root of 3750 square inches, and the length is 3 to the square root of 250 inches. wh
uranmaximum [27]
<h3><u>Answer</u><u>:</u></h3>

  • \sf { width =10 \sqrt{15} \:inches}

<h3><u>Solution</u><u>:</u></h3>

<em>We are given that:</em>

  • Area of rectangle is 30√3570
  • Length of the rectangle is 3√250

<u>Area </u><u>of </u><u>rectangle </u><u>is </u><u>given </u><u>by:</u>

\implies\quad{\pmb{ \sf{Area = length\times width}} }

<u>Hence, putting the values in the formula:</u>

\implies\quad \sf{ A = l\times w}

\implies\quad \sf{ 30\sqrt{3750}=3\sqrt{250}\times w}

\implies\quad \sf{3\sqrt{250}\times w = 30\sqrt{3750} }

\implies\quad \sf{ w =\dfrac{30\sqrt{3750}}{3\sqrt{250}}}

\implies\quad \sf{ w =10\dfrac{\sqrt{3750}}{\sqrt{250}}}

\implies\quad \sf{ w = 10\times\sqrt{\dfrac{3750}{250}}}

\implies\quad \underline{\underline{\pmb{\sf{ w =10\sqrt{15}}}}}

Can someone help me figure out the answer?
Ahat [919]

Answer:

You will break even on the car wash when you buy 13.5 gallons. As long as you buy that or more, it is cheaper to get the car wash.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find this, we need to create equations for both situations. If we let x equal the amount of gallons purchased, we can model the first equation as:

f(x) = 3.35x

And the second equation as:

f(x) = 3.05x + 4.05

Then to find when they equal each other, we can set the two equations equal to each other and solve for x.

3.35x = 3.05x + 4.05

0.30x = 4.05

x = 13.5

This means once you buy 13.5 gallons, the prices will be the same. Any amount over that and the car wash will be cheaper

You are going to join a gym and there are two options close to your workplace. gym a charges you a flat rate of $39.95 per month
mars1129 [50]
We make sample calculations per month, assuming that you visit the gym x times per month.

(1) $39.95 per month
(2) total = $14.95 + $2.95x

If we have the value of x, it is much easier for us to determine the answer by just substituting the value of x and solve. Whichever gives the lower cost will be our answer.

How do I Factor 5x+15+xy+3y
Valentin [98]

you split the problem into two separate problems and go from there.

so, (5x+15) and (xy+3y)  then you take out the common factor in both

so, positive 5 out of (5x+15) and positive y out of (xy+3y)

you'll then have 5(x+3) and y(x+3)

The x=3 is similar in both problems so you can combine them to make one and combine the two factors you took out to make another problem.

So your final answer is (x+3)(5+y)
