A toy company manufactures arcade games. They are marketing a new pinball machine to children. It is similar in size to the adul

t version of the same game. Both the adult and child models are shown below.
If the perimeter of the adult pinball machine is 177 inches, what is the length, in inches of Segment line G prime A prime?

This is not as hard as it seems. All shapes will follow ratios when they undergo a change in overall size. The first part is finding the size of line G-A.  Since we know perimiter, we can simply subtract the other sides from the total permitier. This gives us that GA is 30. Since the ratio of\frac{EM}{E'M'} = \frac{GA}{G'A} , we can simply do 14/35 = x/30. Sp x = 30*14/35 =12

Roxanne graphed this system of equations to find the solution.
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

Option C is correct.

She is not correct as she use the wrong y intercepts when graphing the equations.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the system of equations:

y = \frac{2}{3}x-5         .....[1]

y = -2x+3         .           .....[2]

equate these two equations we get;

\frac{2}{3}x-5=-2x+3

Add 5 to both sides we get;

\frac{2}{3}x = -2x+8

Add 2x to both sides we have;

\frac{8}{3}x = 8

Multiply both sides by 3 we get;

8x = 24

Divide both sides by 8 we get;

x = 3

Substitute the value of x in [2] we have;

y = -2(3)+3 = -6+3

Simplify:

y = -3

Therefore, the correct solution for this given system of equation is (3, -3)

You can see the graph of these equations below.

A unit vector lies in the xy plane, at an angle of 137 degrees from the x axis, with a positive y component. What is the unit ve
Fed [463]

Answer: ( -0.731,  0.682)

Step-by-step explanation:

The unit vector is defined as a vector that points in the same direction as our vector (137 degrees from the x-axis) and has a magnitude of 1.

Knowing the angle, is really simple to do it.

First, we know that for a radius R and an angle A, the rectangular coordinates can be written as:

x = R*cos(A)

y = R*sin(A)

And if we want that the magnitude/modulus of our vector to be 1, then R = 1, and we know that A = 137°

x = 1*cos(137°) = -0.731

y = 1*sin(137°) = 0.682

Then the unit vector is: ( -0.731,  0.682)

I need help solving this problem with proofs if at all possible
k0ka [10]

I don't really like these algebra problems which pretend to be geometry.

The bisector makes two equal angles, so

x/2 + 17 = x - 33

50 = (1/2) x

x = 100

That means ABC = 100/2 + 17 = 67 degrees

CBD = 100 - 33 = 67 degrees, equal so that checks

We're asked for ABC which is 67 + 67 = 134 degrees

Answer: 134°
