Let A be the last two digits, and let B be the last three digits, and the C be the sum of the last 4 digits of your 8-digit stud

ent ID. (Example: For 20245347, A = 47, B = 347, and C = 19) A train moves at an average speed of (23.0 + A) m/s for (250.0 + B) seconds and then at an average speed of (45.0 + C) m/s for (800.0 + B) seconds. Determine the average speed for the entire time in meters per second (m/s). Round your final answer to 3 significant figures.

Answer:

66.053m/s

Explanation:

A = 47

B = 347

C = 19

Train moves at

(23 + A)m/s

= 23 + 47 = 60m/s

At (250.0+B) seconds

250.0+347 =

547 seconds

Distance d,

= 70 x 597

= 41790

It also moves at

(45.0 + c)

= 45 + 19

= 64m/s

Time = 800 + B

= 800 + 347

= 1147

Distance,

= 64 x 1147

= 73408m

Total distance,

= 73408 + 41790

= 115,198

Total time,

= 597 + 1147

= 1744

Average speed,

= Total distance / total time

= 115198/1174

= 66.053m/s

A parallel-plate vacuum capacitor has 8.38 J of energy stored in it. The separation between the plates is 2.30 mm. If the separa
Elanso [62]

Answer:

Explanation:

plate separation = 2.3 x 10⁻³ m

capacity C₁ = ε A / d

= ε A / 2.3 x 10⁻³

C₂ = ε A / 1.15 x 10⁻³

\frac{C_2}{C_1} = \frac{2.3}{1.15}

a ) when charge remains constant

energy = \frac{q^2}{2C}

q is charge and C is capacity

energy stored initially E₁= \frac{q^2}{2C_1}

energy stored finally E₂ = \frac{q^2}{2C_2}

\frac{E_1}{E_2} = \frac{C_2}{C_1} = \frac{2.3}{1.15}

E_2 = \frac{1.15}{2.3 } \times E_1

= \frac{1.15}{2.3 } \times 8.38

= 4.19 J

b )

In this case potential diff remains constant

energy of capacitor = 1/2 C V²

energy is proportional to capacity as V is constant .

\frac{E_2}{E_1} = \frac{C_2}{C_1}

\frac{E_2}{8.38} = \frac{2.3}{1.15}

E_2 = 16.76 .

A skateboarder rolls off a 2.5 m high bridge into the river. If the skateboarder was originally moving at 7.0 m/s, how much time
saul85 [17]

Answer:

  t = 0.714 s and  x = 5.0 m

Explanation:

This is a projectile throwing exercise, in this case when the skater leaves the bridge he goes with horizontal speed

         vₓ = 7.0 m / s

Let's find the time it takes to get to the river

         y = y₀ + v_{oy} t - ½ g t²

the initial vertical speed is zero and when it reaches the river its height is zero

        0 = y₀ + 0 - ½ g t²

        t = \sqrt{\frac{2y_o}{g}  }

        t = ra 2 2.5 / 9.8

        t = 0.714 s

the distance traveled is

       x = vₓ t

       x = 7.0 0.714

       x = 5.0 m

A 90 kg body is taken to a planet where the acceleration due to
Serggg [28]

Answer:

2250N

Explanation:

W= mg,

where W= weight

m= mass

g= acceleration due to gravity

Given that the body is 90kg, m= 90kg.

Acceleration due to gravity of planet

= 2.5(10)

= 25 m/s²

Weight of body on planet

= 90(25)

= 2250N

*Mass is the amount of matter an object has and is constant (same on earth and the planet).
