Answer:

127.3 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Make it a right triangle...

ΔABC is 90 by 90 by x

x = \sqrt{90^2+90^2}

x = \sqrt{8100+8100}

x = \sqrt{16200}

x = 127.3 ft

Find cos θ if sin θ = -(5/13) and tan θ > 0
Nostrana [21]
Remember:

sin²x + cos²x = 1

(-5/13)² + cos²θ = 1

(25/169) + cos²θ = 1

cos²θ = 1 - (25/169)

cos²θ = (144/169)

tan θ > 0 ⇒ cosθ = negative

cosθ = -√(144/169)

cosθ = -(12/13)

Umm anyone know this..
RUDIKE [14]

Answer:

Sine is equal to opposite over hypotenuse in right triangles. Let's say we have a 3-4-5 right triangle, the side opposite the 90° angle is 5, and 5 is also the hypotenuse. 5/5 = 1

Therefore, in all right triangles, the side opposite the 90° angle is equal to the hypotenuse, and anything over itself is equal to one.

(Not sure if this is a mathematically correct way to explain it, but it makes the most sense to me.)

There are 8 students who have 3/4 of a cake they want to share. How much of the cake will each student get if they split it even
fenix001 [56]

So there are 8 students, therefore each student gets 1/8 of the cake.

Since only 3/4 of a cake is available, they will each get 1/8 of 3/4.

We can find this by multiplying 1/8 and 3/4.

To get the answer, we multiply the numerators together and the denominators together which gives us:

(1*3)/(8*4) = 3 / 32 = 0.09375

So each student only get 3 / 32 of the cake.
