How many volleyball games would Rana

Mathematics
1 answer:
Fed [463]3 years ago
8 0

Answer:

90 games

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Total number of team (n) = 10

           Each team will play twice with each other.

We know that every team will play two game with each other except with itself, therefore each team will play (n-1)\times 2

⇒ Each team will play = (10-1)\times 2 = 18\ games

∴ Each team will have 18 games with each other in the league.

Now, as there are total 10 teams and each team have 18 games each, however, we have to make sure that no team have more than two games with other team.

Example: team_1 vs\ team_2\\\\team_2\ vs\ team_1\\

Both the above game are same and it is a mistake to take two different game.

∴ Total number of games played by all team= \frac{(n \times number\ of\ games\ played\ by\ each\ team}{2}

⇒ Total games = \frac{(10\times 18)}{2} = 90\ games

∴ Rana have to schedule 90 games in the Volleyball league.

STatiana [176]

Answer:

the newer moat is 169 cm longer than the older one

Step-by-step explanation:

in order to find the difference in length of the two castles, we will first find the perimeters of the two castles then calculate the difference in the perimeters:

old castle:

dimension = 484cm by 386cm

perimeter = 484 + 386 = 870 cm

new castle:

dimension = 725cm by 314cm

perimeter = 725 + 314 = 1039 cm

difference =  1039 - 870 = 169 cm

The total length of the moats used is equals to the perimeter of the sand castles, therefore, the newer moat is 169 cm longer than the older one.
