Answer:

x = 9 and y = -1 are perpendicular to each other.

Step-by-step explanation:

From Analytical Geometry we know that horizontal lines are of the form:

y = a, \forall \,a\in\mathbb{R} (Eq. 1)

Where:

y - Dependent variable, dimensionless.

Which means that for all value of x (independent variable) has a as their image. If we write this equation in slope-intercept form, we get that:

y = 0\cdot x + a (Eq. 1b)

Where slope is the ratio of the change in dependent variable to the change in independent variable.

Whereas vertical lines have the following one:

x = b, \forall \,b\in\mathbb{R} (Eq. 2)

Where:

x - Independent variable, dimensionless.

Which means that for all value of y (dependent variable) has b as their image.

If we write this equation in slope-intercept form, we get that:

x = 0\cdot y + a (Eq. 2b)

Where slope is the ratio of the change in independent variable to the change in independent variable.

In addition, we must remember that two lines perpendicular to each other observe the following relation:

m_{A} = -\frac{1}{m_{B}} (Eq. 3)

Where m_{A} and m_{B} are the slopes of each line. It is quite evident that if m_{A} = 0, corresponding to a horizontal line, then m_{B} becomes undefined, corresponding to a vertical line.

In consequence, we come to the conclusion that x = 9 and y = -1 are perpendicular to each other.

Solve the equation log^7b>2
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

b > 12.71

Step-by-step explanation:

Here in this question we have to solve the inequality equation given for b (An unknown variable}

Now, the equation is (\log b)^{7} > 2

⇒ \log b > 2^{\frac{1}{7} }

We are taking the base of the log here is 10.

So, 10^{(\log b)} > 10^{2^{\frac{1}{7} } } {Since 10^{\log x} =x and e^{\ln x} = x}

⇒ b > 12.71 (Approximate) (Answer)

Wayne and Winston are scuba diving and are ascending to the surface. The function y = 30x − 105 represents Wayne’s elevation in
arsen [322]
The function that represents Wayne´s elevation:
y = 30 x - 105
The function that represents Winston´s elevation:
- 100 = 0 m + b
b = -100
-16 = 3m - 100
3 m = 84
m = 84 : 3 = 28
y = 28 x - 100
Surface level: y = 0
Wayne:
0 = 30 x - 105
x = 3.5 minutes
Winston:
0 = 28 x - 100
x = 3.57 minutes
If they both ascend at the same rate, Wayne will be first to the surface.

Ill give brainiest to, whom ever gets this correct.
Dovator [93]

Answer:

50.2 m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The Area of a circle is given by the equation pi(r)^2

Therefore if r = 4 we can plug it into the equation to get:

  • pi (4)^2
  • = pi(16)
  • = 50.2655 or about 50.2 m^2
