So all you have to do is add 554 and 600 to get 1154 and then make it negative so it would be A

Please help!!<br><br> The solution of the equation is x = ?<br> .
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

as below

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{2}{7} = \frac{6x}{4x + 17}

2(4x + 17) = 7(6x)

8x +34 = 42x

34 = 42x-8x

34 = 34x

\frac{34}{34} = x

1 =x   :)

A line passes through the points (1, –6) and (4, 3).
Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

y = 3x - 9

Step-by-step explanation:

We first need to find the slope (m)

m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} = \frac{3 - (-6)}{4-1} = \frac{9}{3} = 3

y = mx + b

y = 3x + b

(4, 3)

y = 3x + b

3 = 3(4) + b

3 = 12 + b

-12  -12

-9 = b

(1, –6)

y = 3x + b

-6 = 3(1) + b

-6 = 3 + b

-3   -3

-9 = b

y = 3x - 9

To check:  (1, –6)

y = 3x - 9

-6 = 3(1) - 9

-6 = 3 - 9

-6 = -6

Hope this helps!

Jason eats 10 ounces of candy in 5 days. a. How many pounds does he eat per day?
Nadusha1986 [10]
A. He eats 1/8 a pound of candy each day.
B. It would take him a total of 8 days to eat a pound of candy.

A. Since he ate 10 ounces in 5 days, you divide 10 by 5 to find he ate 2 ounces per day. Since there are 16 ounces in a pound that would be your denominator (bottom of fraction) and 2 would be the numerator (top of your fraction). You will get 2/16 which if you simplify (divide by 2) you get 1/8.

B. Knowing that there are 16 ounces per pound and he ate 1/8 pound ( 2/16 pound or 2 ounces) a day, you can either look at the simplified denominator to get the answer, or, divide 16 by 2 to get your answer.

I hope this helps!

Use the quadratic formula to solve the equation.<br><br>-3x^2 - x - 3 = 0
vredina [299]

Answer:  -1 ± <em>i</em>√35

                  ⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻

                     6

Step-by-step explanation:

From the quadratic equation,

X =  -b ±√b² - 4ac

     ⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻

             2a

From the given equation, -3x² - x - 3 = 0

where a = -3, b = -1, c = -3

Now substitute for the values in the formula above

x = -(-1) ± √(-1)² - 4(-3)(-3)

      ⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻

                   2(-3)

x = 1 ± √ 1 - 36

     ⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻

           -6

x = 1 ±  √ -35

     ⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻

           -6

x = -1  ±  <em>i√35   this is because it has a negative root.</em>

<em>       ⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻⁻</em>

<em>            6</em>

<em> The answer is b</em>

If y= 3-xy find the value of when x = 1
Harman [31]

Answer:

\Large \boxed{{y=\frac{3}{2} }}

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 3 - xy

Let x = 1

y = 3 - (1)y

Expand brackets.

y = 3 - y

Add y to both sides.

2y = 3

Divide both sides by 2.

y = 3/2
