Self-evident means not needing to be demonstrated or explained, it's obvious. The four truths said by Jefferson are: "all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." These truths are "self-evident" to those who understand and want them to be. Everyone understands unalienable rights, however, not everyone believes in them. Jefferson's point was to try and get everyone on board with these ideals, that we are all equal.

olga55 [171]
Mary Wollstonecraft, argument that rich women neglect their education and personal growth because by nature when they are born rich, do not need growth or have no urgency because they have everything from childhood. This is related to the tradition and rooted culture that women depend on men and a male figure, which may be the father or the husband. Mary explains that women by nature are not inferior to men, but that they do not receive the same education as men and that they are not educated to fight and have their own aspirations in life.

arsen [322]
