<span>John Locke created the ideas of Natural Rights, life, liberty and the right to own property. He believed that governments were there to protect those Rights and could be over thrown if they didn't protect those rights.
John Lockes ideas spread through the colonies and during the revalution there was a pamphlet written called Common Sense that basically put his ideas out there for the colonies. It expressed that they were being treated wrongfully and in the decleration it states we have natural rights, such as Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Because of John Lockes ideas it pushed the revelution forward! </span>
