Answer:

Lightning can be best described as an electrical discharge, which is caused by the imbalances between the clouds and the storm and the ground or sometime within the cloud. It carries around 20,000 to 30,000 ampere of current when it comes to the ground.

It is not only the direct hit of the lightning that make you worry, but any strike that is close to us can be dangerous to us as it results in the release of huge amount of electricity in the surrounding area.

Because Energy transfers into the ground and air around the strike creating almost an energy field. The heat can be very damaging and is dangerous being so close to the exposed radiation.

A response from the amigdala. The reason for this is that when the medulla starts signalling brain regions that are in upper parts, especially the amigdala, this then triggers the fear response (amigdala is responsible for this) which in turn alerts us on a conscious level that we should leave this room for example and go to somewhere where more oxygen is present.
