Answer:

Both Cohesion and adhesion play an important role in the upward movement of water through a plant.

Explanation:

Water is absorbed by the roots and transported by xylem tissue to various parts of a plant body such as stem ,leaf .

During the transportation of water molecules through the xylem tissue formation of hydrogen bond occur between the water molecules. A single hydrogen bond is weak but collectively they exert a very strong interaction. As a result a water column is established in the xylem tissue. This is called cohesion.

Adhesion deals with the interaction of water column with the wall of the xylem tissue.

padilas [110]

Answer:

The correct answer is A malate is stored in the large vacuoles.

Explanation:

During CAM malate is synthesized from oxaloacetate by malate dehydrogenase enzyme. The so formed malate is stored inside large vacuoles during night.

In the day time the guards cells of CAM plants get closed and malate is then discharged. The discharged malate is then transported into the chloroplast where the malate is converted to pyruvate and CO2.

The CO2 then enters into the calvin cycle .

What will occur if solution A containing 400 mosmol/L non-penetrating solute is separated by a biological membrane from solution
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

The volume of solution B will increase

Explanation:

In a non-penetrating solute, there is denial of a solute to cross the cell membrane. This implies that the solute will not be able to cross the cell membrane.  So if the biological membrane is serving as a partition between a solution A containing 400 mosmol/L non-penetrating solute and a solution B containing 600 mosmol/L non-penetrating solute, The volume of solution B will increase.

The Respiratory system allows the entry of oxygen into the body and releases Carbon Dioxide. The Oxygen travels across lung tissue into blood vessels and the blood carries the oxygen around the body. Thus the Respiratory and Circulatory systems work together in gas exchange which is vital in Homeostasis.
