The changes to national borders were brought about by the treaty of Versailles are Former Ottoman provinces were divided into mandates controlled by the Allied powers.

This is because when Russia came out of the war in 1918 with the aim of marking of the ''treaty of Brest-Litovsk'' to surrender a much area.  

It was created by ''C.S Hammond and company'', who laid down the recommended changes and Austro-Hungarian Empires and the German Empire, Ottoman, was affected by these changes. The main purpose was to redraw national borders throughout Europe so that feelings of patriotism are kept maintained. And moreover, the aim also included swaying of countries including the countries which were settled recently and the new ones too.
