The four sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) that cannot be cured are those caused by viruses like - Herpes, Human papilloma virus (HPV), Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), Hepatitis – referred, the Four H’s.

Explanation:

The STDs which are caused by virus cannot be cured. This is because the viral DNA becomes latent, does not replicate and stays stable for longer time periods.

The latency of the viral DNA leads to inherent non-responsiveness to any antiviral drugs. Also there is no synthesis of protein antigen which makes it difficult for the body’s immune system to identify the antigens and fight against it.

A person infected with viral sexually transmitted infections will be infected with the virus for life. Any treatment can relieve the symptoms and ease the disease but cannot cure completely.

Those STDs caused by pathogens like bacteria, fungi, or parasites are curable with treatment.
