The correct answer is (a) aerobic respiration requires oxygen to proceed, but anaerobic does not

  • The aerobic respiration takes place only in the pressence of oxygen and the later is required to carry forward the reaction. This means the aerobic respiration takes place in a oxygen rich environment. The end product of aerobic respiration is carbon dioxide and water and the amount of energy released in the form of ATP( adenosine triphosphate)
  • Anaerobic respiration takes place in the oxygen deficient environment. This respiration takes place when the body has no or less oxygen supply. Example: decomposition, alcohol fermentation

Describe how the DNA in a cauliflower plant is similar to and different from the DNA in Brussels sprouts.
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

Cabbage is a different story. Per capita consumption of it peaked way back in the 1920s, when the average American ate 22 pounds of it per year. Nowadays, we eat about eight pounds, most of it disguised as cole slaw or sauerkraut.

This makes it pretty interesting that kale and cabbage — along with broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, collard greens, and kohlrabi, and several other vegetables — all come from the exact same plant species: Brassica oleracea.

In some circles, kale has become really, really popular. Once a little-known speciality crop, its meteoric rise is now the subject of national news segments. Some experts are predicting that kale salads will soon be on the menus at TGI Friday's and McDonald's.

Luden [163]
I believe they cannot start with big trees and bushes because the there is not enough nutrients in the soil, so instead pioneer species pave the way for primary succession.
