In at least 150 words, describe two of the challenges that American society faced after World War II
Sergio [31]

Although the Uinited States was in a better economic position than any other countries after World War II, after a short period new challenges developed.

The most important and known was the menace fo communism that the URSS represented. By 1948, the Cold War had emerged leading to many tensions and conflicts in the years to come. An example of this was the Cuban missile crisis which put the world at the edge of war.

Another challenge was characterized by women. While male soldiers were on the battle front, women took their places in factories, giving them some empowerment. After the war ended, they were forced to return to their homes and accept the role of perfect housewives and mothers. Soldiers wanted to marry young and have children, causing the baby boom. This led to some tensions and the growth of the feminist movement.

What does the word comeback suggest as used in the title and the concluding sentence of the article “North American Gray Wolves:
snow_tiger [21]

Answer:

It suggests that the gray wolves after returning to the list of protected species, increased their population again.

Explanation:

In the article the author shows how North American gray wolves have the ability to return to situations that are favorable to them. First, wolves, when threatened with extinction due to the extreme decrease in population, were placed on the list of species that should be protected. After that time, the population of wolves rose, causing them to return to the state where they were not threatened with extinction. However, as time passed, this threat returned to this species of wolves, causing them to return to the list of protected species, increasing the population size and returning to their state without threat of extinction.
