My answer is 7 hours.

First I made an equation.
17 + 9h = how much you pay.
Now time to plug in.
17 + 9h = 80
Subtract 17 from both sides.
9h = 63
Now divide 9 by both sides.
h = 7.
So she spent 7 hours to rent the bike.

Which angles are pairs of alternate exterior angles? Check all that apply.
Gnom [1K]
Answers:
1. Angle 5 and angle 11
5. Angle 4 and angle 6

================================================

Explanations:

Let's go through the list of possible choices and check each one.

For each of these, I'll refer to the attached image.

-------------------------

1. Angle 5 and angle 11

Note how I labeled the lines A through D (as well as color-coded them). Imagine if line A and line B were made to be parallel lines. Line D is the transversal cut that helps generate angle 5 and angle 11. We'll be focusing on this tranversal. Ignore line C entirely for now.

We can see that angle 5 and angle 11 are on the outside of the "parallel" train tracks that A and B form. That makes them exterior angles. The two angles are on alternate sides of the transversal cut line D. All together, they are alternate exterior angles.

This is one of the answers

-------------------------

2. Angle 7 and angle 12

Again focus on only line A, B, and D. Ignore line C. Angle 12 is exterior but angle 7 is an interior angle. It is between the two "parallel" train tracks line A and line B.

Cross this off the list.

-------------------------

3. Angle 11 and angle 16

This time we'll imagine that line C and line D can be rearranged to be parallel. Line B is the transversal cut we want. Ignore line A entirely.

Angle 16 and angle 11 are exterior angles with regards to the lines mentioned above; however, they do not alternate on opposite sides of line B. These two angles are same side exterior angles.

Cross this off the list.

-------------------------

4. Angle 2 and angle 14

These two angles are corresponding angles. Imagine line A and B are laid parallel with line C as the transversal cut.

Angle 2 and angle 14 are on the same side of the transversal cut. The two angles are both above their adjacent line (A and B)

Cross this off the list.

-------------------------

5. Angle 4 and angle 6

Imagine that line C and line D can be rearranged to be parallel. Line A is the transversal cut we want. Ignore line B entirely.

Based on that set up, we can see that angle 4 and angle 6 are indeed alternate exterior angles.

This is one of the answers

-------------------------

6. Angle 8 and angle 10

These are alternate interior angles. It might help to erase line C. It might also help to arrange line A to be parallel to line B.

Cross this off the list.

#3 HELP PLEASE!! Also pls explain how u did it!!

Ok... to find the total surface area we have to realize a couple of things. First it's a triangular prism so we are dealing with 5 sides. Also the triangular sides are going to be congruent so all the side Lengths will also be congruent. The rectangular sides of the prism will have congruence as well. Lastly we have to know that to find the total surface area, you have to find the area of each side and add them together....

First the triangles. The area formula for a triangle is a = 1/2 base × height.
Since they are right triangles, the base and height are the legs of the right angle, so...

a = 1/2 (8 × 15)
a = 4 × 15 = 60 in^2

Don't forget we have 2 of them so surface area of both is 120 in^2.

Now the rectangles...

a = base × height

1) a= 13 × 8 = 104 in^2

2) a = 15 × 13 = 195 in^2

3) a = 13 × 17 = 221 in ^2

Now add them all up...

104 + 195 + 221 + 120 =

640 in^2 total surface area

45% of a number is 180. Find the number
KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

81

Step-by-step explanation:

The term "of" can be translated to multiplication in problems like this.

So it's essentially saying multiply 45% to 180 and give me the result.

45% can be written as 45/100 in fractions (45 percent, where cent means 100 and per means division). 45/100 can be written as 0.45 in decimal form.

Now the problem reads 0.45 X 180. Using a calculator, we can solve this and the result comes out to be 81

Answer:

  1. y = -5x +10
  2. (0, 10)
  3. (1, 5)
  4. see attached

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Subtract 5x from both sides to put the equation in slope-intercept form:

  y = -5x +10

__

2. The y-intercept is the point corresponding to x=0. The y-value when x=0 is the constant in the equation: 10. Then the point is ...

  (x, y) = (0, 10)

You may notice this is one of the points listed in part 4, and is also used in question 3.

__

3. The x-value computed is 1; the y-value computed is 5. The point is ...

  (x, y) = (1, 5)

You may notice this is one of the points listed in part 4.

__
