Answer:

Earth’s moon is (a) 2,155,120 miles across. The closest distance between Earth and the moon is (b) 225,060,000The farthest distance between them is (c) 251,720,000 miles.

Explanation:

The best way to write numbers out in words or to do the opposite like we did here is to remember place values. Since these numbers are so big, it might be helpful to remember that something in the millions will have six figures after you say million. Here's an example: one million would be 1,000,000. There are 6 zeroes. Based on this we just need to make sure we put the thousands, the tens, and the ones in the correct place. If you get confused try breaking the number up into smaller sections.

If H is the center of the circle, find mGJI A 117.33 B 222.57 C 242.67 D 256.56
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

GJI = 242.67

Step-by-step explanation:

A circle is 360 degrees

GI + GJI = 360

The arc length is the same as the angle when it is at the center

117.33 + GJI = 360

GJI = 360 - 117.33

GJI = 242.67

In Nathan’s baseball card collection, 58% of cards are players from the National League. He has 702 baseball cards. About how ma
Bogdan [553]
Nathan has exactly 407 cards from national league however since you have to estimate with that rate the answer is 400.

702 (Total Cards) × 0.58 = 407. 16
407.16 (Rounded to 100) = 400

702 × 0.58 = 407.16 = 400

Is ab perpendicular to cd ? Explain.
Afina-wow [57]
We know that
if two lines are perpendicular
then
the slopes
m1*m2=-1

step 1
find the slope AB
A (0,2)
B (-3,-3)
m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)-----> m=(-3-2)/(-3-0)-----> m=-5/-3----> m1=5/3

step 2
find the slope CD
C (-4,1)
D (0,-2)
m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)-----> m=(-2-1)/(0+4)-----> m=--3/4----> m2=-3/4

step 3
multiply mi*m2
(5/3)*(-3/4)-----> -15/12
so
15/12 is not -1
therefore
 AB is not perpendicular to CD
