The height h of an arrow in feet is modeled by h(t) = -16t^2 + 63t +4, where t is the time in seconds since the arrow was shot.

Pretty sure Desmos will help you with this more than anything else, but here goes:

The maximum height reached is 66.016. The ball will hit the ground in 4 seconds. The best domain is -0.063≤x≤4. I'm not too sure about -0.063, it's either -0.063 or -1.

Hope this helps!

3. Jorge used 2 packs of pencils in the first 1/3 of the year. At what rate is Jorge using pencils?
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

Jorge is using pencils at a rate of 6 packs a year or a rate of 2 packs every four months.

Step-by-step explanation:

1/3 of a year is four months so that would be 2 packs every four months and if you multiply that by three you’d get 12 month, or one year, and 6 packs of pencils.

Andre and Diego were each trying to solve 2x+6=3x-8 Describe the first step they each make to the equation
avanturin [10]
The first step was the combine the like terms; in this example he is subtracting the 3x on both sides of the =.

If you were to solve the equation it would look like this:

2x+6=3x-8
-3x -3x

-x+6=-8
-6 -6

-x=-14
/-1 /-1

x=14

In what direction and by how many units is the graph of f(x) = −3 cos(2x − π) + 2 vertically and horizontally shifted
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

Vertical shift is 2 units top and horizontal shift is \frac{\pi }{2} units to the right

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the function f(x) = a cos(bx + c) + d.

In this graph, the horizontal shift is -c/b and the vertical shift is d.

Let's compare our graph, f(x) = -3 cos(2x - π) + 2 with this graph.

Here, a = -3, b = 2, c = -π and d = 2.

So, vertical shift = d = 2 units top and

horizontal shift = -\frac{c}{b} =-\frac{-\pi }{2} =\frac{\pi}{2} units to the right.

Find the value of 8(4+3)-21 divided by7
Doss [256]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

First, let us simplify the expression on the left

8(4+3) - 21 = 8(7) - 21 = 8(7) - 3(7) = 7(8-3)

Divide this by 7 and you'll get 8-3 = 5
