Is there any way to solve this without using the quadratic formula/completing the square? I know that these are some easy ways t

o do this but I want to know if there is some shortcut that I'm missing out on. If you can't think of one, don't just give me the answer, because I can get that.

-3x^2-6x solve using the gcf
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

x = - 2, x = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

- 3x² - 6x ← factor out - 3x from each term

= - 3x(x + 2)

To solve equate to zero

- 3x(x + 2) = 0

Equate each factor to zero and solve for x

- 3x = 0 ⇒ x = 0

x + 2 = 0 ⇒ x = - 2

Mr. F is buying 8 computers for the computer lab. if one computer costs $1,156, How much will the computers cost in all?
Andreas93 [3]

answer: $9248

explanation:

well, we know the cost for one, so if each computer costs the same, multiply the cost of one of them by 8 to get the total.

8 x 1,156 = 9248.

so, we can assume this is what the computers will cost in total because there seems to be no added tax or fees.
