5: Answer the questions completely: Jordan has a new puppy. She wants to put a fence around part of her yard to cover an area of
yuradex [85]

There are many possible solutions to this problem.

Area (A) = Length (L) x width (w)

200 = L x w (any two numbers whose product is 200 is acceptable)

I am going to choose L=20 and w=10, then A = 20 x 10 = 200

Perimeter (P) = 2L + 2w

= 2(20) + 2(10)

= 40 + 20

= 60

Answer: one possible solution is L=20, w=10, P=60

How do the different values of h,k,and r change the graphs of the circles?
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

See Below

Step-by-step explanation:

The standard form of an equation of a circle is:

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2

and

(h,k) is the center

r is the radius

Changing the values of h and k changes the location of the center of the circle. Changing the value of r changes the radius and hence the "size" of the circle. Very simple!

So, basically changing h and k translates the circle elsewhere and changing r transforms (make larger or smaller) the circle!
