Well this is an isosceles triangle so there’s corresponding angles which mean the 45 degrees on the bottom also equals the one opposite from that. So 45+45=90..... And ofc a Triangle equals 180 (so 180-90= 90) so put the choices in place of 2x and u should get c 2x45=90 (I rlly hope this makes sense it’s kinda hard to explain!)

<h3>Hello there!</h3>

Let's look at the information given to us.

- The figure is a triangle

- One angle is 45 degrees

- The other two measure x and 2x

Now, what can we do with this information?

What is the sum of all the interior angles in a triangle? According to the angle sum theorem, it's 180 degrees.

Since you're given all interior angles in the triangle, you can write it out as:

x + 2x + 45 = 180

As x, 2x, and 45 are the interior angles.

Now, how can you solve this for x?

First, move all like terms to one side. In this case, move all numbers with x in it to one side, and all those without to the other, by doing the exact operation provided to both sides.

x + 2x + 45 - 45 = 180 - 45

x + 2x = 180 - 45

And now simplify.

3x = 135

/3     /3

x = 45

Therefore, your answer is x = 45.

Professional plumbers suggest that a sewer pipe should be sloped 0.25 inch for every foot. find the recommended slope for a sewe
erik [133]

We have been given that professional plumbers suggest that a sewer pipe should be sloped 0.25 inch for every foot.

Therefore, we can find the slope as:

\text{Slope}=\frac{0.25\text{ inch}}{\text{1 foot}}=\frac{0.25\text{ inch}}{\text{12 inch}}

\text{Slope}=\frac{0.25}{12}=\frac{25}{1200}=\frac{1}{48}

Therefore, the recommended slope for a sewer pipe is \frac{1}{48}

Mrs.Rodriguez is going to use 6 1/3 yards of material to make two dresses. The larger dress requires 3 2/3 yards of material. Ho
Ludmilka [50]
She has 6 1/3. The larger dress need 3 2/3. So 6 1/3 - 3 2/3 = 2 2/3
So Mrs. Rodriguez will need 2 2/3 for the smaller dress

In Exercises 45–48, let f(x) = (x - 2)2 + 1. Match the<br> function with its graph
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

45) The function corresponds to graph A

46) The function corresponds to graph C

47) The function corresponds to graph B

48) The function corresponds to graph D

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the function f(x) is:

f(x)=(x-2)^{2}+1

45)

The function g(x) is given by:

g(x)=f(x-1)

using f(x) we can find f(x-1)

g(x)=((x-1)-2)^{2}+1=(x-3)^{2}+1

If we take the derivative and equal to zero we will find the minimum value of the parabolla (x,y) and then find the correct graph.

g(x)'=2(x-3)

2(x-3)=0

x=3

Puting it on g(x) we will get y value.

y=g(3)=(3-3)^{2}+1

y=g(3)=1

<u>Then, the minimum point of this function is (3,1) and it corresponds to (A)</u>

46)

Let's use the same method here.

g(x)=f(x+2)

g(x)=((x+2)-2)^{2}+1

g(x)=(x)^{2}+1

Let's find the first derivative and equal to zero to find x and y minimum value.

g'(x)=2x

0=2x

x=0

Evaluatinf g(x) at this value of x we have:

g(0)=(x)^{2}+1

g(0)=1

<u>Then, the minimum point of this function is (0,1) and it corresponds to (C)</u>

47)

Let's use the same method here.

g(x)=f(x)+2

g(x)=(x-2)^{2}+1+2

g(x)=(x-2)^{2}+3

Let's find the first derivative and equal to zero to find x and y minimum value.

g'(x)=2(x-2)

0=2(x-2)

x=2

Evaluatinf g(x) at this value of x we have:

g(2)=(2-2)^{2}+3

g(2)=3

<u>Then, the minimum point of this function is (2,3) and it corresponds to (B)</u>

48)

Let's use the same method here.

g(x)=f(x)-3

g(x)=(x-2)^{2}+1-3

g(x)=(x-2)^{2}-2

Let's find the first derivative and equal to zero to find x and y minimum value.

g'(x)=2(x-2)

0=2(x-2)

x=2

Evaluatinf g(x) at this value of x we have:

g(2)=(2-2)^{2}-2

g(2)=-2

<u>Then, the minimum point of this function is (2,-2) and it corresponds to (D)</u>
